Welcome to the Cedarburg Boy Scout Troop 830's website - your source of information for all things Troop 830 !  We are a group of boys, grades 6 through 12, leaders, and parents who proudly serve our community and our country.  We believe in the Scout Oath and obey the Scout Law.  We develop responsible and capable youth through camping, adventure, learning, and most importantly, through fun and friendship. 

We are Troop 830.

Required Background Check for Registered Adult Leaders

Providing a safe and secure environment for our youth members is the greatest priority of the Bay-Lakes Council. We work every day to protect our children through our Youth Protection policies including mandatory youth protection training for all registered leaders, leadership selection policies and mandatory criminal background checks for new leaders.

Effective for the 2018 BSA Summer Camp season, any adult accompanying a Boy Scout Troop to a residence camp or other Scouting activity lasting 72 hours or more must be registered as an leader, including completion of a criminal background check and youth protection training even if they are a parent of a youth on the trip.

In February of 2018 BSA issued a new and improved version of Youth Protection Training for Adults.  The attached letter covers some basic descriptions of the training and some requirements that go along with it.  The following is a list of who needs to complete the new Youth Protection Training:
